Lavender Pond Farm is proud to offer a wide selection of lavender plants for sale. These plants are grown for us by local growers and are the same plants we plant in our fields. They are hardy to our zone, deer and bunny resistant and top quality plants.
Plants are available in small containers for $16 or large containers for $20. Not all plants are available in both sizes. Lavender Pond Farm's Guide to Growing Lavender included with all plant sales. Please read our plant policy at the bottom of this post.

Here's what we've got in stock right now:
- Annet – Lavandula angustifolia (English). Approx. 16‑18 inches. Drought/heat tolerant and loved by bee's and butterflies. Provides a nicely scented foliage while it's strong sturdy stems make for a great bouquet.
- Hidcote - Lavandula angustifolia (English). Approx. 18‑24 inches. One of the most popular varieties. Dark colored lavender-blue flower spikes in late spring and early fall. Compact and sweetly fragrant. Adds great color to garden beds and walkways.
- Blue Cushion - Lavandula angustifolia (English). Approx. 12‑16 inches. Blue Cushion forms a perfectly compact, rounded cushion of fragrant lavender. From early to late summer, the plant blooms with a dense mass of deep blue flowers which lighten to pale blue as they mature. The flowers are produced in several flushes, giving the appearance of continual bloom sometimes into early fall depending on the weather. Deadheading helps rebloom.
- Big Time Blue - Lavandula angustifolia (English). Approx. 12‑24 inches. Deep purple-blue blooms and gray-green foilage. Forms a nice shape when mature great for edging and works well for mass planting. Deer rabbit resistant and repels mosquitoes.
- Grosso– Lavandula x. intermedia (French). Approx. 24‑30. One of the heartiest of all lavender varieties and the "go to" plant for essential oil and craft making for its amazing blooms, Grosso produces dark blue flower spikes in mid‑summer with gray‑green foliage. A heavy bloomer it's great for lavender wands, fresh and dried bouquets, sachets and potpourri. A favorite of the bees and butterflies too.
- Phenomenal - Lavandula x. intermedia (French). One of our "got to" varieties, phenomenal is one of the hardiest and easiest to grow lavender for our region. Approx. 36 inches with spiky purple flowers and silver foilage. Fragant and a favorite of our butterflies.
- Sensational ‑ Lavandula x. intermedia (French). is the next generation to Phenomenal. Approx. 24‑36 inches Sensational is incredibly large and has thick flowers with sturdy stems. Enjoy the sweet floral aroma while viewing its broad silver foliage.
English Varieties – First bloom typically late June, early July. Routine clipping during bloom season will result in additional blooms all summer into early fall.
French Varieties – Typically bloom later than English. Mid-July into early August. Once clipped may send up smaller spikes, but not always. The french varieties typically do not bloom year 1.
Planting & Maintenance Tips – All Varieties
Lavender is a hearty, drought resistant plant that compliments any outdoor space. It’s a natural bug deterrent, deer and rabbit resistant and wonderfully fragrant flower that bees and butterflies adore.
Here are a couple recommendations for planting your new lavender plants:
- Full sun. The more the better.
- Plant in well draining soil. Add sand if you need too.
- Water your new plants regularly.
- Once plant is established, water infrequently (every 2 weeks).
- Harvest when flowers have partially bloomed.
- Prune back new growth in fall and spring.
- Do not over-water your lavender!
