Lavender Pond Farm was born with the simple purpose of doing our small part to help make the world a more beautiful place. With over 10,000 lavender plants on our sprawling 25-acre property, Lavender Pond Farm is a relaxing and inviting oasis for the body and the mind.

Hours
Opening May 8th, 7 days a week 10am-4pm. Rain or shine. Please note some attractions or activities may not be available during inclement weather. Our bloom season is June through August. Follow us on Facebook for updates.

Things to Do:

    1. Walk the fields. There's nearly 10,000 lavender plants in 30+ beds. Take your time and enjoy your walk.
    2. Ride the LPF Express. Ever been on a purple train before? Read more below...
    3. Visit the bees. On sunny days our honeybees are busy as, well, you know... and you can see them working around the hives.
    4. Shop the Shoppe. We've got live plants, and a bevy of other lavender goodness just waiting for you in our farm shoppe.
    5. Check out the chickens. Our "Broadway Chicks" are always excited to make new friends. However please don't feed or try to pet them.
    6. Stroll around the pond. If you're up for a nice walk, there's a path around the big pond in back. Enjoy.
    7. See our covered bridge. We've got an Arnold M. Graton authentic covered bridge at our farm. See the work of a master bridge wright.
    8. Relax and enjoy. There's quite a few places to just sit and be. Find yourself a quiet spot and do just that.
    9. Take a peek at our still. We've got a really cool copper alembic still for distilling our lavender hydrosol and essential oil.
    10. See the SmartFlower. Our farm is solar powered. in 2017 we became only the second site in the USA and first in CT to put in a SmartFlower.
    11. Take lots of pictures. There's lots of great photo opportunities. Be sure to tag us on Facebook and Instagram #lavenderpondfarm so we can see your shots.
    12. Play Chess. Enjoy a relaxing game of giant chess in our formal garden.
    13. Play Corn Hole & Jenga. Visit our orchard bed and try your hand at a game of corn hole & jenga.
    14. Fairy Gardens. Whether taking a ride on the LPF Express or strolling along the path around the pond, keep your eyes peeled for our fairy gardens. They have set up their homes amongst the woods and if you're lucky you may catch one at play!

Take A Ride on The Lavender Express

The LPF express is gearing up for the 2024 season, see you soon!

Ever ridden a purple train on a lavender farm? Well now you can! Your tour starts with an educational, enlightening and possibly even entertaining presentation on how and why Lavender Pond Farm came to be. We’ll discuss our plants, what a lavender farmer actually does and some of the more interesting features of the property (SmartFlower anyone?). Once you’ve been sufficiently educated (or put to sleep) we’ll hop on the Lavender Express for a train tour of the property. Plan on about 20 minutes for the entire tour. The cost is $8 per person and lap children ride free.
